TRAVEL AMAZING KARAKORAM (TAK) HAVE HONOUR TO CELEBRATE BROAD PEAK GOLDEN JUBILLEE:

Travel Amazing Karakoram (TAK) have the honour to celebrate Broad Peak Golden Jubilee. TAK has arranged the ceremony through its own effort .No sponsorship were obtained from any Govt and Private Organization.

HISTORY OF THE PEAK:

Broad Peak (8048m) is the 12th highest mountain on Earth and 4th highest peak in Pakistan was made ascent on June 9, 1957 by Fritz Wintersteller, Marcus Schmuck, Kurt Diemberger, and Hermann Buhl of an Austrian expedition. The founder of Travel Amazing Karakoram, Mr. Little Karim has a luminous history with this Peak.

Travel Amazing Karakoram celebrated the golden jubilee of Broad Peak this year on 9th June 2007.

1-Golden Jubilee Ceremony of Broad Peak (June 2007) At Skardu City:

Travel Amazing Karakoram (TAK) have the honor for celebrating the ceremony of the "Golden Jubilee of Broad Peak’. The first week of the June 2007 emerged as the delighted and colored-full time of this series. Particularly, the city of Skardu was full of joy ness especially, at the night time, when the ceremony activities was at full boom and the whole city was echoing with the voices, laughing, and clapping of Golden Jubilee ceremony. Several activities took placed during the ceremony I.e.; speeches, dancing, Balti dances and firework show were also presented at this time. The Ceremony have also got the honors of participating of several respected foreigners, visitors, local people of Baltistan and in special, Mark Richy, the President of Alpine Club of America, and the Vice President of the Alpine Clube Steve Stvenson were also available in the Golden Jubilee Celebration.All famous Balti sherpas like Little Karim, Rozi Ali, Ali Raza, Nisar, Ghulam Nabi, Hassan Jan gave their comments about the adventures made by them during their expedition activities. This gave agreat enjoyment in the audiances Mark Richy cut the cake of the celebration of Golden Jubilee of Broad Peak. Mark Richy, during his address appreciated theTaK efforts in celebrating this ceremony .He felt much happy by celebrating this tremendous event with Balti Sherpa and local community in beautiful city of Skardu. Steve Swenson, Little Karim, and Muhammad Ibrahim Hayyain, the Managing Director of the Travel Amazing Karakoram delivered their addresses to the celebration.

2-Golden Jubilee Ceremony At Base Camp:

On 11th to 18th June the managing team of TAK and some Balti Sherpa went to Broad Peak Base Camp.When the team arrived at Askoli Balti porters gave a warm welcome in the honour of Balti Sherpa, and slogan raised in favour of these famous personalities.

 At the Base Camp there arranged a Golden jubilee ceremony in unique style where Balti famous beautiful cattle “Yak” was sacrificed in remembrance of great mountaineers in honor of their adventures. Meat of the Yak distributed among the different expedition groups and porters. A great memorial get together ceremony organized by inviting all the leaders of expedition at the base camp and offered a prayer..
